Uncovering All The Secrets Of I Love Lucy

It’s hard to believe that the dearly beloved I Love Lucy series premiered on October 15, 1951, on CBS. That was over 66 years ago! We watched through six wonderful seasons and 180 episodes. We got an inside look at the fictional lives of the Ricardos and the Mertzes through their many joyous (and not so joyous) moments. We learned to laugh until our stomachs hurt… and then some. But, what can you say? The show was hilarious! The cast, crew, writing, and sets were all on point.

Even today, in 2018, 40 million Americans tune-in to watch reruns of the 50’s series. Don’t get us wrong, though. The American population at the time loved it as well. It’s often regarded as one of the most influential sitcoms in the history of television. For this, the show won five Emmy Awards and too many nominations and honors to count.

And yet, as successful as any show can be, life can get in the way of production. For better and for worse. So take a look at some of the secrets regarding cast and crew, filming, and everything in-between to get to know the unknown side of I Love Lucy.
