We’ve found the best summer ski spots in the world, so grab your boots and skis and hit the slopes, well into summer. Instead of heading to the southern hemisphere, try these closer alternatives for all your snow fun.

Zermatt, Switzerland

Whistler-Blackcomb, Canada

Find your summer skiing in Canada at the great Whistler resort. With two T-bar lifts and tons of fun runs, the Whistler-Blackcomb resort is ready for action. Check out the incredible gondola ride between the two mountain peaks, to expand your run possibilities.

Saas Fee, Switzerland

Visit Saas Fee in Switzerland if you seek the summer ski resort less-traveled. You won’t find traffic or hoards of tourists in the small town below. You will find 18 awesomely groomed runs and some spectacular glacier views from the top of the 4,000-meter peaks.

Hintertux, Austria

The only resort in Austria that is open every dang day of the year. Yea, Hintertux is open 365 days a year for your fun in the snow and sun. This awesome resort offers 10 ski lifts open year round and a whole range of slopes for every ski level. This high altitude resort is not the best place for someone who often gets altitude sickness. The high quality of snow here is a favorite for international ski teams as many train here year round.

Les 2 Alpes, France

Les 2 Alpes has its very own high altitude mini resort for the summer season. When it’s boiling hot at sea level, its always chilly at 3,000 meters above sea level.   This high-altitude resort boasts 11 runs, 17 lifts and a snowboard park.   This is seriously a nice summer ski venue that you won’t have to travel to Chile to ski.

Tignes, France

This is a great place to vacation for your entire family. Maybe some of you are over winter and want some summer fun in the sun, and then Tignes France is perfect for you. The ski resort is located 3,000 meters above the lake, so temperatures are quite chilly. But at sea level the temps are perfect for swimming in the lake.

Tignes boats a really cool underground transport that takes you almost to the top of the mountain and the peak is reached by a cable car.

Finding your summer ski and snowboard resorts is easier than you thought, and you didn’t even have to change hemispheres. The Northern Hemisphere has tons of great skiing all-year round; you just need to know where to look. Some of these resorts are more expensive than others but you can always find deals if you look hard enough.
